Each year, the Colorado State University Vice President for Research recognizes outstanding scholars with the Scholarship Impact Award. Dr Tjalkens received the 2024 Research Scholarship “recent achievement” award, which focuses on the previous ten years of his career.
Scholarship impact acknowledges demonstrated excellence and achievements in a scholar’s discipline and includes activities such as advancing knowledge, discovery or understanding within one’s field. The recent achievement award recognizes those whose scholarship has had a major impact nationally and/or internationally.
