Omar Yanouri is a PhD student in the Cell and Molecular Biology department. Originally from Texas, he obtained bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. He moved to Fort Collins to join the Tjalkens lab, where he is currently investigating glial antiviral signaling triggered by a misfolded alpha synuclein model of Parkinson’s disease. When not in lab, Omar likes to bake and hand-bind books.
