Young Investigator Awards

The Center for Companion Animal Studies coordinates the Young Investigator Grant Program. The donations are unrestricted, so any research project is potentially fundable. Each successful proposal includes a veterinary student and a co-investigator, who is expected to be the primary author or coauthor on any resultant publication.

We hope that the completion of these projects stimulates student interest in clinical projects and improves the students’ chances of getting complementary internships and residencies in the future.

The Center for Companion Animal Studies has approximately $40,000 in pledges to support companion animal research involving D.V.M. students. Review the 2024 Call for Proposals to learn how to submit a grant for your research project.
